French Tutor - Grades 1–12 (Contractor Role)
Are you passionate about the French language and helping students succeed? We are a growing, privately owned tutoring company offering personalized one-on-one and small group French tutoring for students in Grades 1 to 12. Our sessions are highly interactive, customized to each learner, and delivered primarily online, giving tutors flexibility and meaningful impact.
About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic and committed French Tutors to provide high-quality instruction on a contract basis. You will support students through engaging, customized lessons designed to build confidence, strengthen language skills, and support academic success.
Tutors have the flexibility to create their own lesson plans while using a variety of resources to meet individual student needs. Sessions may be delivered online or in person, depending on tutor and student availability.

What We’re looking For
• Native French speaker (preferred)
• Experience teaching or tutoring students in Grades 1–12
• Familiarity and experience with the Alberta curriculum (an asset)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, punctual, and well-organized
• Passion for working with children and youth
• Excellent academic standing
Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging one-on-one and small-group French tutoring sessions
• Support student development in speaking, listening, reading, and writing
• Tailor lessons to each student’s level, learning style, and academic goals
• Prepare lesson plans and learning materials as needed
• Monitor student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
Qualifications
• Fluency in French (native or near-native proficiency preferred)
• Prior experience teaching or tutoring French
• Demonstrated experience with virtual learning environments and virtual
teaching tools
• Proven ability to build strong rapport and deliver value that encourages client loyalty and long-term engagement
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Well-organized, reliable, and self-motivated
• Familiarity with the Canadian curriculum is considered an asset
